HR Generalist

Job Title: HR Generalist

Position Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and HR policy implementation. The ideal candidate will be a trusted resource for employees and management, helping foster a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring activities.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefit-related questions.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy within HRIS and personnel systems.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including evaluations, coaching, and development planning.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and company culture programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with leave of absence administration, accommodations, and workers' compensation processes.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation as needed.
  • Participate in policy development, implementation, and communication.
  • Support organizational changes, workforce planning, and special HR projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Experience supporting HR functions in a multi-site or growing organization.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and leave management.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, UKG, Workday, Paycom, or similar systems.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
